Lion
The moon is a lion tonight
with its mane shining oh so bright
Roaring, roaring for a revolution
to split the darkness with its teeth
roaring, roaring for an evolution
so that she can finally speak
You are weeping in your bed
the only roar you hear is in your head
Your house burned down, you lost it all
a spring, a summer, then a fall
It's strange to know what ashes bring
the resignation on the wind
But now you hear something rustling in the night
something alive with a will to fight
Roaring, roaring for a revolution
to split the darkness with its teeth
roaring, roaring for an evolution
so that she can finally speak
Remember the lion when you die
when your cells are quiet inside
remember the bracing flick of his tail
tht breaks the bars of any jail
remember that quicksand disappears
when the tide deafens your fears
remember you are the moon
leading your own way to your tune
Roaring, roaring for a revolution
to split the darkness with its teeth
roaring, roaring for an evolution
so that she can finally speak
